8mm Basaltic rebar is a type of reinforcing bar made from basalt fibers. Basalt fibers are made from volcanic rock and have high strength and durability properties. The rebar is 8mm in diameter, which is smaller than the typical diameter of steel rebar, making it ideal for applications where space is limited. Basaltic rebar is also resistant to corrosion and has a high temperature tolerance, making it suitable for use in environments where exposure to heat and chemicals is likely. Additionally, basaltic rebar is lightweight and has good electrical insulation properties.
Our basaltic rebar is sold in coils. However, since the material has no memory (it doesn’t retain its shape), extra care must be taken when unrolling the rebar in order to prevent it from springing back or rebounding uncontrollably.
